G7 Summit
The G7 Summit, or Group of Seven Summit,[1] was a multinational meeting of several Strangereal countries in 2008. Hosted by the Osean Federation on the Arkbird, the meeting helped to promote peace on the Usean continent and between Osea and the Union of Yuktobanian Republics.[2]
History
The Republic of Wellow was initially selected to host an event attended by national representatives since the country was considered "perpetually neutral". A neutral, "borderless" area of open water off Wellow's coast was chosen as the meeting site. However, during the sherpa process, a terrorist incident in a nearby bay halted the summit from taking place there.[2]
Osea, the chair country for the G7 Summit in 2008, chose to host the summit on board the Arkbird maneuverable spacecraft. Osea personally invited representatives from the provisional government of Erusea to help promote peace on the Usean continent. The 2008 meeting was notable for its historic push to ratify several anti-proliferation treaties, including a Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty and a Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. The move was seen as solidifying the bonds between Osea and Yuktobania, as well as the nations of the world.[2]

The members of the Group of Seven that attended the meeting were as follows:[2]

- Erusean Republic and interim government
The G7 Summit in 2008 was the only known meeting of representatives from these countries; it is not clear if they meet on a regular basis, as is the case with the real-life Group of Seven. If they do, the position held by the Republic of Anea is in question due to the initiative's cancellation.[1]
