- ― ILCA's corporate philosophy[1]
ILCA, short for I Love Computer Art, is a Japanese video game development studio. Founded in 2010 as a computer graphics company,[1] ILCA was initially a support studio for other companies, including Square Enix and Bandai Namco.[2] By 2021, ILCA had transitioned to become a game studio itself, having been the primary developer of THE IDOLM@STER STARLIT SEASON[3] and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.[4] The company also develops VR, mobile, and web experiences, as well as TV programs and digital comics.[1][2]
ILCA's first work on the Ace Combat franchise was producing the cinematics and environments featured in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.[5] In August 2021, Kazutoki Kono announced the next Ace Combat game was in production in a joint collaboration between Project Aces and ILCA.[6] In June 2022, ILCA and Bandai Namco founded Bandai Namco Aces, a joint video game development company.[7]
