Falco 1 Southern Cross?

The article refers to Falco 1 gaining the nickname "The Southern Cross." Isn't that only Gryphus1?

Ace Combat Xi material should not be considered canon

Sorry Falco 1, it's nothing personal. For a mobile game that cannot be downloaded anymore, the Aurelian War article here gives a hell of a lot of weight to details that come from Ace Combat Xi, which in my opinion should be considered nothing but a mobile tie-in rather than a genuine attempt to expand the Ace Combat X lore. This is why I think that it should not be considered canon:

1) PLOT CONTRADICTIONS - Probably the most important since it confuses the article. The plot of Ace Combat Xi takes place during the opening 10 days of the Aurelian War. - The pre-mission briefings of Ace Combat Xi describe the tenacious but faltering resistance of the Aurelians in the face of Leasath's invasion, in which Falco 1 inflicts several defeats on Leasath; in Ace Combat X however, Leasath are shown to invade with very little difficulty - The Gandr, a full-sized, fully operational aerial fortress prototype - in Xi it is dubbed the 'pride of the Leasath military command', is used to finish off the Aurelian resistance. Not only does that distinction belong to the Gleipnir, but it's also stealing its limelight, as it's the Gleipnir that is ultimately responsible for Leasath's rapid invasion early in the war. The Gandr is never mentioned or alluded to in Ace Combat X at all.

2) MAP REUSE - Although the locations of each AC:Xi mission are purported to be different places in Aurelia, all of them have simply been reused from Ace Combat X, just with different weather in one or two cases - Mission 1's 'Phuku Lagolla' is a reused Cape Aubrey (but is apparently 'in the south west corner of [Griswall]') - Mission 2 and 4's 'Sallqa' is a reused Puna Base - Mission 3's 'Challwa' is a reused Port Patterson - Mission 5's 'Area Z2K' is a reused Cape Aubery (again) - Mission 6's 'supply facility' is a reused Sachana Air Base - Mission 8's takes places over an unspecified location that is reused Danern Straits (plausible I guess?)

Mission 7 actually takes place at Port Patterson so it gets a pass

3) VOICE LINES - As far as I'm aware, every single line of dialogue is from Ace Combat X and awkwardly added, with no original dialogue recorded. They even refer to Falco 1 as the Southern Cross. All the music is reused as well but this is far more forgivable.

4) FIDDLY BITS - Alright, I'm going to be nit picking here, but these are a few extra annoying bits - In Mission 8 the Gandr uses an SWBM to destroy Aurelian ships, even though it is only effective against air targets in Ace Combat X - Ace Combat Xi refers to Leasath as the 'Peoples Republic of Leasath', when its canon name is the 'Democratic Republic of Leasath'

5) INACCESSIBILITY - Fortunately, there is some footage of the game that we can refer to (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLG3HP-4qA9S8tBUxs9nkt_bd-B2hOX7vO for anybody interested). However, the game was taken down years ago and is very difficult to get or emulate. Xi shouldn't be forgotten about but, because of how ephemeral it is, it also shouldn't be taken too seriously.

So, should all material referencing Ace Combat Xi be removed? Personally for this article I say yes, or at the very least should be marked as non or semi-canon. If I can think of anything else I'll add it in the future.

Thanks for reading. I'm off to touch some grass.
