Troia Route
The Troia Route was a logistics system used by the USEA Federation to transport combat material and supplies to its troops. The system spanned a large part of the Middle East, beginning in an undetermined point in the region and ending in an oil refinery in the southern Arabian Peninsula that served as a major source of fuel for the federation's armed forces. [1]
During the USEA insurrection, the Arabian refinery was the site of several battles between Usean troops and the United Nations Forces, who sought to secure the oil for themselves and cripple their logistics network. The largest conflicts there included the destruction of an upgraded Aigaion-class heavy command cruiser and a massive air battle between both sides to determine air superiority over the region. [1]
Trivia
- The Troia Route fulfills a similar purpose to the Ho Chi Minh trail, a supply network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.
- The "Troia" name of the route may imply that the other extreme of the system is Anatolia in Turkey, a site of great strategic importance during Operation Eternal Liberation.
- The briefing for Pipeline Destruction seems to suggest that there was supposed to be a Campaign mission that would take place in the region before the aforementioned Online Co-Op Mission. It reads similarly to the briefings for Weapons Base Assault and Avalon Dam Invasion, with each stating that the enemy forces returned to resume activities in those regions after the events in the campaign.
