Final Countdown is the twentieth mission in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy. The player must destroy the Rebels' last line of defense.

Briefing

We will break through the enemy's last line of defense. Numerous enemy warships have been confirmed in the waters surrounding Snider's Top. We believe they've amassed all the remaining forces in the northern hemisphere. This may be where they make their last stand to defend Saint Ark. Once we break through here, Saint Ark will be just a stone's throw away. You can expect the battle to be fierce, but I have the utmost faith in you. Let's see what you can do, Scarface Squadron. The one thing that's bothering me is that we haven't seen the Albireo Squadron of the Erusean Republic. They're said to be the strongest of the Allied Forces. If they plan on pulling something, now's the time to do it. The squadron leader Edgar Grint is the epitome of an Ace pilot. Be careful.

Objectives

Initial

The mission's primary targets are a fleet of Rebel warships. Destroying them all spawns the second group of ships and three XB-10 bombers, which are also primary targets. Destroying all the ships and XB-10s advances the missions.

Mission Update

The Albireo Squadron is the mission's primary target. Shooting them all down ends the mission.

Finish the mission with 18900 points or more. This score is equivalent to destroying every enemy including the named unit. (Keep in mind that sams which are attached to the various warships found here do NOT award points if the player kills the ship itself first.)

Debriefing

Destruction of the Rebel fleets as well as the Albireo Squadron has been confirmed. Who'd have guessed they'd deploy a prototype bomber. They really tried to stand their ground, living up to their name as the last line of defense. And you deserve a medal for the way you took down Albireo Squadron. You've grown into a truly impressive pilot. You have my highest regards, Phoenix. But our target wasn't the Albireo Squadron. It's putting an end to the Rebel Forces. Operation Bellissima was a success. All that's left is the enemy capital, Saint Ark. We're almost at the final battle. Don't let us down, Scarface Squadron.
