Toy Box is the seventeenth mission in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy. It is the third and final mission of the Operation Alphaville branch.

Briefing

We have an urgent situation. We've just learned that the Rebels have plans to launch a satellite weapon on a space-bound shuttle. The satellite weapon is a high-powered laser, originally developed to intercept asteroids believed to be on a collision course with Earth. However, it was also designed to target land objects so that it could be reused for military purposes. In other words, if we don't stop that satellite from launching, the Rebels will be able to snipe anywhere on the continent from space. We must stop it at all costs. There are four satellite weapons in total. Each has been hidden inside a hangar somewhere on the Comona Islands. Fire at the hangars and destroy all satellite weapons. Operation Alphaville cannot fail. I'm counting on you, Scarface Squadron.

Objectives

Initial

The mission's primary targets are four satellite weapons, hidden in hangars on the Comona Islands. Each hangar may contain a satellite weapon, or it may contain AA Guns and SAMs instead. The contents of the hangar cannot be attacked until the hangar itself has been blown open. Once the first three satellite weapons have been destroyed, Olsen will reveal that the last weapon has been loaded onto a space shuttle. Destroying the shuttle advances the mission.

Mission Update

Once the shuttle has been destroyed, Beast Squadron will appear in F-15 S/MTDs and engage the player. During the fight, the player will be jammed by Beast Squadron F/A-18Es. Shooting them down removes the jamming. Destroying all Beast Squadron aircraft ends the mission.

Debriefing

All satellite weapons have been destroyed. Being sniped at from outer space sounded like a scary scenario, so it's a good thing we managed to foil their plans. But I didn't expect to see the Beast Squadron again. The Beast Squadron leader, Eater Sergei Brynner. His file says he was born in the small country of Gratobie, but some say he's from the Principality of Belka. It's impressive you were able to defeat him. This makes you one of the most revered pilots in USEA​. But our objective isn't fame, it's the subjugation of the Rebel Forces. Operation Alphaville was a success. All that leaves is the enemy capital, Saint Ark. We're almost at the final battle. Don't let us down, Scarface Squadron.

Trivia

• Olsen mispronounces Usea as an acronym in the debriefing.
• The Beast Squadron jammers are F/A-18E Super Hornets, which are not electronic warfare aircraft. The EA-18G Growler is an electronic warfare Hornet variant. It may be that the Hornets in this mission were intended to be Growlers, which were not added to the game.
  • One of the Special Aircraft in Ace Combat Infinity is the EA-18G -Beast-. This seems to indicate that the Beast Squadron jammers were intended to fly the Growler.
